ANL Singapore Pte. Limited and Koninklijke Burger Groep B.V. (Royal Burger Group) of the Netherlands are pleased to announce the formation of Joint Venture agency companies in Germany and the Netherlands.

To be known as ANL Germany and ANL Netherlands respectively, the new agency companies will undertake the liner agency representation functions of ANL Singapore in Germany and the Netherlands from early 2007, replacing ANL’s current agents, Müller Liner Agencies, the wholly-owned liner agency company of the Royal Burger Group.

Mr. John Lines, Chairman of ANL Singapore, said, “The initiative represents a further commitment by ANL to its German and Dutch customers and more broadly to all of our customers in the northern hemisphere markets in which we now operate. It also reflects our continued growth in the East/West Trades since entering these businesses in 2002, and particularly our growing presence in the Asia/Europe and the trans-Atlantic trades.

We are pleased to have the opportunity to form the new businesses with the Royal Burger Group, whose agency businesses in Germany and the Netherlands have been an integral part of our successful expansion in the region”.
