06/10 Trifor obtains AEO-status

Trifor International Customs B.V., part of Royal Burger Group, has been certified as Authorized Economic Operator (AEO). This means that all customs related procedures handled by Trifor fulfill the strictest requirements with respect to rules and legislation. “Practically this means that customs consider Trifor a reliable partner,” says Royal Burger Group CEO Karel Peters.
The international attention for safety led to the implementation of stricter safety measurements for international cargo flows. In Europe the customs legislation amongst others has been tightened, but it is tried to offer companies better facilities that should lead to less logistic holdup and lower administrative costs.
Companies that are involved in trades that cross the outer borders of the European Union are eligible for the status of Authorized Economic Operator. AEO-certified companies are less frequently checked by customs, thus lose less time in case of cross border cargo. Karel Peters: “Trifor can handle your cargo faster.”
